PROMOTE HUMAN RIGHTS FOR YOUTH picture

Ethembeni Educational Centre we promote the human rights for youth:

1. Right to Education: Every child and young person has the right to free and compulsory primary education. They should also have access to affordable and quality secondary and higher education opportunities.

2. Right to Non-Discrimination: Youth should not face discrimination based on their race, color, sex, language, religion, national or social origin, disability, or any other status. They have the right to equal treatment and opportunities.

3. Right to Participation: Youth have the right to express their opinions, be heard, and participate in decision-making processes that affect their lives. This includes involvement in family, school, and community matters.

4. Right to Health: Young people have the right to access healthcare services, including reproductive health information and services, without discrimination or coercion.

5. Right to Freedom of Expression: Youth have the right to freedom of thought, expression, and access to information. They can express their views, seek, receive, and share information and ideas through various mediums.

6. Right to Protection from Violence and Exploitation: Young people have the right to be protected from abuse, neglect, violence, exploitation, and harmful practices. This includes protection from child labor, trafficking, and other forms of exploitation.

7. Right to Privacy: Youth are entitled to privacy and protection of their personal information. They should not be subjected to arbitrary interference with their privacy, family, home, or correspondence.

8. Right to Peaceful Assembly and Association: Young people have the right to peaceful assembly, join organizations, and associate with others to pursue common interests and goals.

9. Right to a Standard of Living: Youth have the right to an adequate standard of living, including access to food, clothing, housing, and social services. Measures should be taken to alleviate poverty and ensure their well-being.

10. Right to Identity and Nationality: Young people have the right to a nationality and to know and be cared for by their parents. They should not be arbitrarily deprived of their identity.

 It is essential to ensure that these rights are respected, protected, and fulfilled to support the holistic development and well-being of young people that is why Ethembeni Educational Centre we promote this human rights.
